Richmond Olympic Oval

This was the 2nd day that the Olympic speed skating oval was open to the public. The public skates were happening all day. It was quite a nice exercise facility.

This is a view of the other side of the buliding. Interesting support structures and it opens right onto ice level.

Since this is where the 2010 Olympic speed skating events are being held, they brought out the mascots to skate alongside the public. First up was Quatchi.

We're having a slight fly problem in our office, so the building manager brought along this lil guy. It's a Venus Fly Trap, lol. I think we might need a few more since I've read that it catches maybe one a week and I know there's usually one or two on the ceiling of my office alone.

I upgraded my internet and digital tv services and ran into a bunch of problems. Today, I found a giant remote control. If it could only solve my problems.

In the same mall, I found a child's ride. What happened to the ones that rock back and forth? This one uses video!

Since I couldn't fit inside, I went out to the airport to watch the planes come in for their landing.

After several tries I finally got a beta code to test LittleBigPlanet. It's a game where you can play online with friends and create your own levels. It looks really neat.

My sister had been teasing my friend and calling him a sherpa, saying he would carry all of her shopping bags. Eventually that's what she nicknamed him, so as we were shopping today without him, we came across a lot of sherpa clothing that we thought he'd need. (except they're kids sizes, lol)

Apparently the GameStop/EB Games Edge Cards are different in Canada and the US. On my trip to Oregon, I wanted to renew my card because it had expired, but they couldn't do it. The cashier thought my card with pics of DSs was 'neat'. I thought it was a little boring until I saw the card he was going to give me. I think it just said "Game Stop" on it. ^_^; Anyway I finally got around to renewing my card and this is the one I picked out.
